The National Institute of Health (NIH) is part of the United States Department of Health and Human Services. This federal agency conducts medical research to promote the health and well-being of Americans around the globe. When the NIH elected to expand one of its buildings in Bethesda, Maryland, U&S teamed with Carrier Corporation and Bently Nevada Corporation to supply 20,000 tons of cooling to this facility. These massive chiller units, in conjunction with Andover Controls, upgraded the NIH’s systems—modernizing them for years to come.
