Recent transformations are occurring to old and abandoned properties throughout former industrial cities—and Buffalo is no exception. People and organizations are finding creative ways to reuse and transform city eyesores into magnificent modern spaces. This is true for the Cooperative Grange League Federation Elevator (GLF Grain Elevator) and Wheeler Elevator in Buffalo, New York. These grain elevators were threatened with demolition after sitting idle for over 30 years. Today, Buffalo RiverWorks is a testament to the city’s commitment to important historic properties and its ability to bring life back to the waterfront.

From conception to execution, U&S Services was there to support the development of this one-of-a-kind entertainment venue. Buffalo RiverWorks has something for everyone. From ice hockey to roller derby, and martial arts to live concerts, this 60,000+-square-foot building has (inside) capacity for over 5,000 people. The venue includes two outdoor ice-hockey rinks as well as a fully-functional brewery that supplies its four bars and full-service restaurant.
